Making of Dog

The idea behind the concept of the illustration came from Eduardo Martins, co-owner of the studio and also a big name in the brazilian advertising industry. Together with the rest of the crew we imagined the scene, which was first intended to feature a cat instead of a dog.

Making of Piracicaba´s soccer team mascot


Making of Piracicaba´s soccer team mascot by Lucas Leibholz Step by Step :
This first  image is the original character, it´s the Piracicaba´s soccer team mascot and the Challenge was to redesign him. So i decided to redraw and then paint.
2D tutorialsFirst of all I work it out the main pose and layout. I like to do this part in a free way, with no worries to make it the drawn right, just to get the main idea.

After first step draw the Layout  I try to clear the lines and make it better.  Working a bit the anatomy and finishing some design final choices.
Photoshop
Now I worked the painting and the lighting, trying to make the volumes and materials. And it comes with some shapes.
nhoquim4After the base of the painting is made it time to work it on details. I realize the eyes wasn´t working so I´ve change and it seems to work better. Then I made some gags with his tattoos making some links with the soccer team anthem.

And finally I just work it some contrast with levels control.

Making of : Animated Fevicol Navratri TVC




What were the prime factors considered while making the look of this tvc?
Getting the right punch on the story front within the extremely tight time line of 10 seconds was top priority. We brainstormed a lot on various story options along with team O&M. It had to be an interesting plot without adding too many layers to the story. Cracking that simplicity took maximum time.

To develop HellBoy, at first made a simple base head in Softimage, just to have notions of volumes and proportions. Then took it to Zbrush to hit the silhouette of my base on the model of Hellboy.
